Waiter rushed off his feet on Sunday night but was honest and said due to staff absence was on his own front of house. He was waiting on all the tables and getting all the takeaways out too! Nothing was too much trouble, he was polite and professional under immense pressure.

As narrowboaters we pass through many different places on our travels, and we always without fail find the Indian restaurants. Last night as a group of 4 we went to Shampaan. I can honestly say we had a fabulous evening, great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. The starters we had were a very nice quality, but the standout were the main dishes. Each one we ordered was different to the next, (non of these base gravy curries that all taste the same), and of a very high standard that tasted amazing!!! More over, they were different to and stood out against curries we have had in many other places. I highly recommend these guys, a fab restaurant well worth a visit. We will be back.

Excellent, well cooked and well presented food. I can recommend this restaurant as THE place to eat in Wheelock/Sandbach. Ideal if you're a boater and have just done Heartbreak Hill and can't be bothered cooking or fortify yourself before beginning your ascent.
